Art : The Fender Stratocaster is one of the most beautiful forms of functional art. Black matte highlights these fine lines.
Fender Stratocaster Modified by Mill Hill Audio dubbed "Rat Strat". Rat Rods run rampant here in Southern California and I love them all. This Standard style Strat with large 70's headstock has come to us from Indonesia in 1999, with a solid wood body. The guitar has settled in and is vibrating nicely. Installed two humbuckers from Seymour Duncan and a YKE 3 way selector switch all wired with Teflon covered Silver washed Copper wire and Silver solder.
The Humbuckers are Seymour Duncan 59' Neck and APH-1B in the Bridge. The Seymour Duncan has this to say about their 59' & APH-1 :
59' : Late- 50's, Vintage Correct, Humbucker Sound. Warm and crystalline clean tones. Full and Bright distorted tones. Smooth sustain. Classic appointments include plain enamel wire, long legged bottom plate, vintage single conductor cable and no logo.
APH-1 : Alnico II PRO. The Alnico 2 magnet and moderate windings yield a warm, sweet tone with more natural string vibration for great sustain. Classic rock players who get their distortion from the amp rather than the pickup love the APH-1. It allows them to back off the crunch and get beautiful clean tones with softer attack. Compared to the '59 the Alnico II PRO has a rounder sound with a spongier bass response. Comes with four-conductor hook up cable and no logo.
Please view the photos and know this guitar has been set up with frets polished, fretboard cleaned / conditioned. New strings, installed nickle 11's.
